Limited edition : Black cups workshop (September)

In this class, I will teach you all the steps to make a set of cups with black stoneware clay using a variety of techniques from wheel to handbuilding. During this intensive workshop, you will make a set of 2 to 6 wheelthrown cups.

You will learn the different techniques of wheel throwing and handbuilding with black clay. I will guide you through the different steps to make handmade pottery pieces and it will be glazed for you after the class to make it food safe and waterproof.

Programm of the workshop:

• 10h-13h : Introduction to wheel throwing, wedging, centering and throwing of 2 to 6 cups
  13h-14h : Lunch break
• 14h-17h00: Trimming of the cups and handbuilding (handles, textures, finishing)

 After your class, your ceramics will be ready to pick up at the studio after 6 weeks. (check our opening pickup times here)

Who is the class suitable for? This workshop is perfect for beginners who want to try wheel throwing for the first time. If you are a more advanced potter, this class is also suitable to help you perfect your technique and refresh what you've already start learning. It's also great for creative minds looking for a hands-on artistic experience.

• What to bring? Comfortable clothes that can get dirty, short nails and no rings/bracelets recommended, long hair should be tied back, come as you are 😌 
  
  

Important notes:

- Due to limited space in our studio we can't store your pieces for a long period of time. Therefore your ready ceramics when they will be ready (6 weeks after your class, make sure you set a reminder) have to be picked up within 1.5 months, otherwise it will be thrown away. Thank you for your understanding.

- We take every possible care during firing, but due to the unpredictable nature of ceramics and kiln processes, we cannot be held responsible for any cracking, warping, glaze defects, or breakage that may occur during firing.

- Only reservations cancelled 10 or more full calendar days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund or be postponed. After that delay, we cannot postpone or refund your class.
