The pitfired collection was created using an ancient woodfiring method. Pit-fired ceramics are made by placing dried clay pieces in a pit with combustible materials like wood or leaves. The materials are burned, heating the pottery to harden it. Smoke, ash, plants and minerals create natural colors and patterns on the surface, making each piece unique.

Since all products are handmade and unique, deviations in form and intensity of colors are part of the design.
All products are made from stoneware fired at 1220°C and all tableware products are foodsafe.
Do not use in the dishwasher or microwave.
